International Media Production Zone (IMPZ)
The media production industry targeted free zone area called, the international media production zone (IMPZ) was founded in July 2003. As per the statistics from 2005, the IMPZ is spread over an area of 43 million square feet in the emirate of Dubai near Jumeirah Village South. IMPZ has over the years developed a business environment that is uniquely geared towards the needs of graphic art, printing, publishing, and packaging and media production companies. The media production zone is under the ownership of TECOM Group, which is already holding Dubai Media City (DMC) and Dubai Studio City (DSC).
The IMPZ is already being considered as the business zone by hundreds of companies from all around the world. It is becoming a next generation media city. The strategic location of IMPZ could utilize the emerging entertainment and media market, from the industry's highest growth rate regions like Mena, India and turkey according to Price Waterhouse Coopers in 2010.
Starting business with IMPZ
The international media production zone is offering; pre-built units for showrooms and warehouse purposes from 615 - 10,000 square feet areas; commercial office spaces from the range of 615 – 10,000 square feet; and dedicated industrial land area from 64,000 sq ft to 120,000 sq ft with a leasing period available for 30 years. Moreover, it is a free economic trade zone which, offering 100% foreign ownership, full repatriation of profits and capital, guaranteed 50-year exemption from personal, income and corporate taxes, exemption from customs duty for goods and services, etc.
