DMC (Dubai Media City) is a free zone area dedicated to media industry established by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs in January 2001. The DMC is having more than 1,300 companies registered with the free zone from all over the world that covers business sectors like news agencies, publishing, online media, advertising, production, and broadcast facilities. The big board of world cricket, International Cricket Council (ICC) even find the DMC has the suitable place for building their Head Quarters.
The Dubai Media City is having big branded fishes in their pond, includes BBC World News, CNN International, TEN Sports, Forbes, Sony, etc. As per the project plan, the Dubai media city is having around 84 towers in it. The DMC could become the proud host for the well known show TEDx Dubai 2009. Dubai Media City is set in the heart of “New Dubai” with the Marina district to the West, Palm Jumeirah to the North and Sheikh Zayed Road to the South. The site is accessible via Al Sufouh road or Exit 32 from Sheikh Zayed Road.
